Intern & Research Assistant
Shir Gruber is a student completing a bachelor of science in environment at McGill University specialising in hydrology and aquatic ecosystems. Through her position as regional director of Sustainable Youth Canada, a student-run non-profit organization, she hopes to integrate environmental projects in the academic curriculum giving youth tools to combat issues in their community. Shir has led research at Dawson College which contributed to changing the school’s policy on waste-management by advocating for the implementation of compost infrastructure. She was president of Dawson’s environmental club, a TEDx speaker, and helped lead the recent Climate Marches in Montreal. She is joining the TerraHumana Solutions team as an intern in the summer of 2020 helping create a waste management strategy for a mining company.
